The Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache has been unveiled, and once again, all hell has broken loose. First teased all the way back in January, amongst all of the Air Max 95 hype, nobody thought this shoe would actually drop this year. But then again, nobody works as hard as founder Clint Ogbenna.
Better known by Clint419, Ogbenna launched Corteiz in 2017 when he started screen-printing sweaters and tees out of his bedroom. Now, after just seven years, he's linking up with streetwear kings like Supreme for full collections.
The Air Trainer Huarache marks the second Nike silhouette that Corteiz has worked on. A mash-up of two legendary models (namely the Air Trainer and the Air Huarache), the London label's version is decked out in grey ‘Flat Pewter’ suede and is accented with camo detailing around the tongue, vamp and ankle section. Around the back, the big Swoosh's logo is underlined with ‘RTW’ as a nod to Corteiz's “Rules the World” tagline, and the midfoot strap is stamped with the imprint's signature Alcatraz emblem.
Each pair comes with a brushed gold dog tag that was made just for this drop. And as well as the sneakers, the duo will also be launching an apparel collection, which includes a grey track jacket, matching track pants, and a fiery red football jersey.
The Corteiz x Nike Air Trainer Huarache ‘Flat Pewter’ will be available at Cortiez on November 8 for £190. It'll then be followed by a much wider release in the near future at Nike, the Snkrs app, and select stockist globally.
