2024's been a big year for the Nike Zoom Vomero 5. But, if you're looking for something that's a little more low-key, the Zoom Vomero 5 ‘Vintage Green’ is the one. You won't find any shiny chrome Swooshes or glow-in-the-dark details here. Instead, it's a quiet, understated sneaker that'll look sick with all your autumn Insta fits.
In classic Vomero fashion, this trainer works on top of a breezy mesh base and is overlaid by panels and panels of leather throughout. A rubber cage hits the lateral and medial sidewalls, and the silhouette's signature geometric heel counter wraps around the back for a bit of added support. Absolutely all of this is then drenched in a lush ‘Vintage Green’ hue, which is a lot more wearable compared to the Brat-coded ‘Green Moss’ that dropped back in January.
Down south, the midsole is dipped in ‘Light Orewood Brown’ for an archival aesthetic. And because this is a running shoe at the end of the day, it's infused with Zoom Air and Cushlon foam. That sounds like a bunch of random jargon thrown together, but it basically means that it's one of the comfiest Nike sneakers that you can get.
Compared to the latest Zoom Vomeros like the ‘Design by Japan,’ the ‘Vintage Green’ keeps it very clean and very simple. But that's exactly why it's gonna be mad hyped when it lands later this year. Plus, the Swoosh logo is actually coated in a cool reflective finish, so you can flex 'em even in the dark.
