Why are shearling jackets more expensive than other coats?
You may have noticed, with a little research, that shearling outerwear and sheepskin coats tend to be accompanied by a heftier price tag than you might find on a typical biker jacket or duffle. Simply put, this is because sheepskin, suede and leather are luxurious and high-quality fabrics. That said, there’s no shame in trading out your leather coats for a faux construction, nor trading in your shearling coat for something trimmed with faux fur or sherpa. You can easily get the shearling sheepskin feel for less if that’s what your budget is dictating, but there’s no true replacement for real, opulent, thing.
How long do shearling jackets last?
