1. A production house

In 2020, Alia Bhatt established her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions. The first project backed by her banner was a comedy thriller, Darlings, starring Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma, Roshan Mathew, and Alia Bhatt. According to a Times of India report, Netflix bought the critically acclaimed movie for a whopping Rs 80 crore. Alia Bhatt's production company backs Vasan Bala's action thriller Jigra.

2. A clothing brand

Not just production, but Alia Bhatt also ventured into the fashion industry in 2020 by launching Ed-a-Mamma. This clothing brand creates eco-friendly apparel for children between 2 and 14 years of age. According to Business Insider, the clothing brand catapulted into a Rs 150 crore business within a year. The Bollywood actress made her first entrepreneurial movie in 2017 by investing an undisclosed amount in a Mumbai-based fashion-tech startup, StyleCracker, which Dhimaan Shah and celebrity stylist Archana Walavalkar co-owned. "I am not actively looking for investments, but Archana has been my stylist for many years and when I came to know about StyleCracker, it seemed like a very logical move," Alia Bhatt had told The Economic Times when quizzed about her investment.

4. Nykaa

From launching her clothing brand to donning the producer's hat, Alia Bhatt expanded her financial portfolio by venturing into various businesses in 2020. The same year, she even invested in the e-commerce website Nykaa.
