DATA ENGINEER

£75,000-£80,000 + BENEFITS

PRIMARILY REMOTE

A leading digital platform in the property industry is seeking a proactive Senior Data Engineer to join their innovative team.

THE COMPANY:

This is a well-established brand driven by an ambitious vision. They are currently investing in their data team, and are looking to expand and enhance its services.

THE ROLE:

A Senior Data Engineer will need to:

• Work closely with stakeholders across the business
• Oversee end to end processes, ensuring scalability of pipelines
• Implementing best practices in data governance and infrastructure set up

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

A successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• Ability and experience interacting with key stakeholders
• Cloud experience – Azure preferred
• Containerisation experience – Kubernetes preferred
• Prior experience with Pyspark
• Understanding of IaC/Terraform

THE BENEFITS:

You will receive a salary, dependent on experience. Salary is up to £80,000 On top of the salary there are some fantastic extra benefits.

Senior Data Engineer

London

3 days a week in Office

Harnham are partnering with a fully digital InsurTech which aims to make insurance more available, cheaper and fit-for-purpose. This company is looking for a head of data engineering to grow the current team and build the data platform.

THE COMPANY

They were founded in the last decade and help compare prices at a grand scale of insurance advertising the best products from their clients. This company aims to double from their current 100 heads as they are on track to go 3x this year.

THIS ROLE

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be…

• Designing, building and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines
• Develop and optimise data architectures to support the business requirements
• Monitor and improve the performances of data systems
• Contribute to the organisations data strategy by identifying opportunities for improvement
• Evaluate and recommend solutions for data management challenges

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful Senior Data Engineer will have the following skills and experience:

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data engineering
• Utilising cloud platforms specifically Azure
• Experience with utilising Kubernetes, Terraform, Python, SQL, dbt and Postgres.

DATA ENGINEER (CDI)

LE POSTE

Rattaché au responsable data, vous rejoindrez une équipe composée de 3 personnes (le manager, un Mlops et un data scientist). Vous aurez l’opportunité de tout refaire à neuf en reposant à plat l’ensemble de la gestion de la donnée de l’entreprise. Vos responsabilités seront les suivantes :

• Concevoir et améliorer des modèles de données évolutifs : garantir que les modèles de données répondent aux besoins actuels et futurs de l’entreprise, en optimisant les performances et la maintenabilité.
• Maintenir et faire évoluer l’entrepôt de données BigQuery : surveiller et améliorer les performances de l’entrepôt pour gérer les volumes de données croissants et l’augmentation de l’utilisation.
• Construire et orchestrer des pipelines de données efficaces : utiliser des outils modernes pour créer, planifier et surveiller les workflows de données, assurant une livraison rapide et précise des données.
• Collaborer avec les équipes métier : travailler en étroite collaboration avec les analystes et les parties prenantes pour identifier, prioriser et fournir les ensembles de données nécessaires à la prise de décision.

VOTRE PROFIL

• Bac+5 diplôme d’ingénieur
• 4 ans d’expérience sur un poste en startup
• Maîtrise de SQL : expertise approfondie en SQL pour concevoir des requêtes efficaces, optimiser les bases de données et transformer des données brutes en informations exploitables.
• Expertise en Python : solides compétences en programmation Python, avec une expérience en manipulation de données, création de pipelines et automatisation.
• Expérience avec BigQuery et dbt : capacité avérée à construire, optimiser et maintenir des solutions en utilisant BigQuery et dbt.
• Maîtrise de la modélisation des données : solide connaissance des principes de modélisation des données, y compris les schémas en étoile et en flocon, appliqués à des solutions évolutives.
• Contrôle de version : maîtrise de Git pour la gestion de version et le développement collaboratif dans les workflows de données.
• Compétences en résolution de problèmes : capacité prouvée à relever des défis techniques complexes avec des solutions structurées et innovantes.
• Très bon niveau d’anglais requis

Product Analytics Engineer:

My client, a dynamic tech organization, is on an exciting mission to hire a Product Analytics Engineer to join their team. This is a crucial role that will support the development of a customer data platform and drive product analytics initiatives. This is a permanent position based in London and is hybrid working.

Responsibilities:

• Measure the value of relevant data points for the product team, with a particular focus on enhancing user experience.
• Operationalize analytics by establishing systems and processes to regularly collect and analyse data.
• Collaborate with the central Data Engineering team to create dashboards that translate the product team’s needs into actionable data insights.
• Build high-quality data pipelines using DBT and Python.
• Utilize SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the data warehouse in Snowflake.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in DBT, SQL, and Python.
• Proven experience as an Analytics Engineer.
• Experience with Snowflake, GCP, Redshift or BigQuery.
