The Ink Factory, the U.K. banner that produced the 2015 BBC/AMC hit The Night Manager and has a growing slate of TV and feature film projects, has secured more than $180 million in funding capacity.
The monetary boost came following a second round of equity financing, alongside an equity co-investment partnership with 127 Wall Productions, who will invest alongside The Ink Factory in all the company’s film and TV productions. A senior debt facility was also arranged with Natixis Coficine, which was the loan provider for The Night Manager.
Hotel Artemis — a futuristic thriller starring Jodie Foster, Jeff Goldblum, Sterling K. Brown, Dave Bautista and currently in post — is the first project financed through the arrangements with 127 Wall and Coficine. The recently announced adaptation of John Le Carre’s The Little Drummer Girl — set to be directed by Park Chan-wook and starring Florence Pugh (Lady Macbeth) — will also be financed under this agreement.
