Hi - Thanks for your interest in our products. This light typically comes with an attached 4.5" backplate that covers a standard box (with install hardware provided). That being said, we're happy to work with you to find a solution that would work for your application. In the past, we've provided the fixture without the backplate and undrilled (typically for docks and beams).
