I have an older townhouse from 1974. It had a small galley kitchen that badly needed updating. I had thought about remodeling for years, but couldn’t decide what to do. After retiring, I knew that I could not wait any longer. I wanted to work with a contractor that had ideas and could help me design something I would love. Something I did know was that I wanted to increase the size of my kitchen, add lighting and create space that would make the entire townhome feel brighter than what I had. Additionally, it needed more storage and I wanted to include a real pantry.

I contacted several contractors for help. I had worked for 20 years for a company that designed equipment and worked with buyers to design equipment that was exactly what they wanted and needed. I expected the same from my contractor. With each contractor I met and talked to, I asked for a detailed quote with drawing so that I could check out the look and costs before I decided on anything. The other contractors would only give me lump sum quotes with no breakdown. Also, they couldn’t come up with any ideas for me and told me there was no way I could have a real pantry.

I decided to hire Joe and Core Remodel and I am glad that I did. I knew that Joe was very busy, but he found time to meet with me at various stores and showrooms, to make selections, before the work was started. He gave me the pluses and minuses for each product I was considering. I could not have picked a better partner for this project and now I absolutely love my new kitchen.

There were some minor delays from unexpected issues, but each time Joe and his team found a solution. His workers and subcontractors were all very polite and professional. Joe stopped by, on a regular basis, checking on the job, making sure all was progressing as planned and inspecting the work that was being completed. I had impressed upon him that work had to be completed before the holidays so that I could enjoy the kitchen with family, who were coming in from out of state. Joe made sure that the deadline was met.

In conclusion, I am so pleased to have worked with Joe and Core Remodel. I have already referred numerous friends and neighbors to Joe and I’m sure that Core Remodel will make me proud in doing so. My kitchen is exactly what I wanted and I am able to enjoy this each and every day! I give Core Remodel a 5 star rating.
