The client’s wish was to create an old world Tuscany looking wine cellar in an adjoining empty space near their basement bar area. All the racking materials and cabinets were made with natural all heart redwood and seeded glass inserts were used for the redwood framed upper doors. An existing wine barrel was converted into a working bar sink and grape vine decorative hardware was added to doors and drawers. Existing barn wood materials were used on the walls and ceiling and redwood plank inserts we added in between the floor tiles for an aged look. The custom made artisan-made metal and glass entry doors completed the look. Designed by Bill Curran for Closet Organizing Systems

Welcome to the Wine Vault! This custom wine cellar in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, California is one of a kind. Seriously - Everything about this space from the custom wine racking to the stone work to the sleek stainless steel framed doors.. a one of a kind custom wine cellar designed, built, and installed by custom wine cellar experts Vintage Cellars. This large custom wine room sits in the entertainment room downstairs in this gorgeous Beverly Hills mansion. Walls, ceiling, and floors of stone accentuate the dark custom wine racking used to cradle each wine bottle. Metal Wine Racking is commonplace and a very popular feature in many custom wine cellars / wine rooms / wine walls / wine vaults nowadays - but this was even a first for us too. The client worked closely with designers at Vintage Cellars to come up with a very unique look and desired effect for the bottles, utilizing custom railroad pegs in the style of Carriage Bolts to display each wine bottle neck out. This 500 bottle cellar masterpiece quickly became the showpiece of the entire downstairs of the home. Through careful consideration and planning, the design and install team was able to recess the cooling unit into the wall and duct in the cool air to keep this space at at constant 55 degrees with a perfect relative humidity. What was once solely a location to place and store your wines long term has now become literal art. Take it all in - the worn, yet refined wooden floors, the custom cabinetry and home bar / custom bar, the exposed wooden beams looking like they were out of a 20th century barn, the grey walls - inviting yet subdued.. Against the shabby chic, traditional, yet modern style of this home, this custom wine cellar absolutely shines.
