Custom Fireplaces and More

Do NOT purchase from this company. While Fran has been very helpful in her wealth of knowledge, their installation and excuses are over tiresome. We purchased a fireplace back in September of 2021. Since September, the company has canceled our appointments to finish installation 9 different times. The excuses ranged from weather, COVID, no one showing up, and distance. Then when we would call they would not return our calls or just say “we know”. It’s June 2022. Still no working fireplace. I gave them one last chance before making this negative review. Received a call from Fran, was suppose to be scheduled again, it’s been over two weeks and still no schedule. Tried to call and text, no reply. So unless you are in their immediate area, you will NOT get serviced.

I would recommend custom fireplaces for repair.s Trey was very respectful and professional. He assess the situation and had our fireplace repaired within 30 minutes.

We have had our custom fireplace for 17 years (1999). It looks and performs as nicely as it did on day one. You can count on Bob & Fran for honest and knowledgeable assistance. We are extremely pleased with our gas fireplace and the caring support we have received.

I have worked with Fran since September of 2015 to get a wood burning stove installed in my new home. It is now late November and the stove is installed and working well. Fran was very knowledgeable and helpful during the entire process. She helped me find the perfect stove and sent the greatest installers to my house! Danny and Anthony were very respectful, well-mannered, and professional during their two days here. The installation would have normally taken one day, but the piece of equipment that transports the stove up the stairs and into the house was broken upon their arrival here. That was unfortunate as the previous installers knew it had been dropped but failed to report it. They had to make a return trip and my stove was left outside over the weekend. I would recommend Custom Fireplaces and More to anyone. Fran certainly knows everything about wood stoves and she guided me through the process of finding one that would vent from the rear and through a fake fireplace that had held an electric fireplace. I wanted a wood stove, so we removed the fireplace and my son has tiled the fireplace and made it look like an authentic fireplace with a wood stove in front of it. He even added LED lights that are hidden for a backlighting effect. The hearth pad continues with the brick-looking tile. He has yet to finish the decorative tiles, but I will be sending her those final pictures when he does. I am very happy with my stove and I know it was installed to meet all safety standards and more as Fran is very safety conscious.

We are working with Fran, who spent the time to educate us and answer all of our questions. She asked about us and our project and then offered suggestions we hadn't thought about for us to consider. She made it work for us and now we can't wait to get started!
