Denomy Designs

Our project was a large yard around a newly built home. Allen started off the process with a visit to the homesite with us. We discussed at a high level how we wanted to live in and utilize our yard. During the remainder of the design phase, we were remote. Even though we were remote, Allen continually worked closely with us to identify the key components of the landscape we desired. He then used his in-depth knowledge of local plants, animals, Arizona weather and architecture to produce a landscape design. The end product is one that we love, as Allen not only captured the essence of how we wanted to live in our yard, but also how we wanted to feel while experiencing the space day and night.

Denomy Designs was perfect! We initially contacted Allen because he has experience with unique design elements such as rammed earth. We are not in their local area, so all design work was accomplished remotely. Allen was very thorough, creative, and knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to our ideas and answer any questions we had. Highly recommend Denomy Designs to anyone looking for a unique and mindful landscape design. We now have what we need to execute a beautiful and sustainable landscape with the builder/installer of our choice.

Allen, completed a design for our partially started back yard. He worked with our landscaper, concrete company and metal workers to make the existing elements work in a cohesive contemporary setting.

My husband and I worked with Allen to design our backyard (through Sonoran Gardens). We were so impressed with Allen’s creativity and attention to detail. His designs were beautiful and the technology he used helped us visualize what the backyard would actually look like. He listened to our feedback and provided us with a lot of choices on the actual design, as well as materials, plants, etc. so we felt our backyard was personalized to our tastes. We are so thrilled with how our backyard turned out and would not hesitate to hire Allen again for our future design projects!

My wife and I had the pleasure of working with Alan to design a new Tuscan style backyard kitchen and bar area for our home in Tucson Arizona. Allen had a great design concept for our Marana, AZ home. He listened to what we wanted and came up with a great plan. Because I had a portal with a curve he did a great job coordinating features like a curved stone wall on either side of the portal, a rounded walk right in front It. He came up with a fantastic huge set of curved trellises.for the side backyard. Allen submitted our yard for the AlCA contest and won a Judge’s award.

We hired Allen Denomy to help us with the remodel of our pool and patio area. Allen did a great job of providing us with a design that created a beautiful and inviting outdoor living area. Allen was very profession and creative. We would recommend Allen and would work with him again on future projects.

We hired Allen to design an outdoor kitchen and patio area for our home in Tucson. We could not have been happier with the result! From the design which was beautiful and functional to him going the extra mile by meeting us one afternoon at the store to help pick out tile, Allen is wonderful at what he does and to work with. I contacted Allen with Denomy Designs in August of this year to create a landscape design for our back yard. He was very responsive and was able to meet with me within one day. He had a blank slate when it came to our backyard and I was impressed with his immediate ideas on-site. Allen is helpful, knowledgeable, and professional in his approach to landscape design. We were wanting to upgrade our yard, and he provided wonderful ideas that resulted in exactly what we wanted in our environment. He listened to our budget constraints and maximized our ability to structure our plants and anchoring items without once trying to "upsell" us beyond our budget. His recommendations for plantings are absolutely on target. He works with contractors who are also highly professional to insure his paper designs become reality. He has my lasting appreciation for what he did for us, and our highest recommendation.

I cannot recommend Allen highly enough! We found Allen after having worked with two landscape designers with varying degrees of satisfaction. Allen's level of professionalism, attentiveness to our tastes, and responsiveness has made him a total joy (and breeze) to work with. As first-time renovators, Allen was eternally patient in answering our questions, he a provided clear and direct explanation of his process and what we can expect from contractors, and was able to help us make quick and easy trade-offs in the design. I have had the good fortune to work with Allen Denomy on a variety of projects both large and medium-sized. Allen is a very talented landscape and pool designer. If you want to create an amazing outdoor environment, I highly recommend working with him.

Allen is wonderful. He turned an idea into reality with his design of our backyard. He was willing to work with our modest budget to get everything that we wanted (I can't say that for every landscape designer we contacted). He was very professional, honest with our expectations, and quick. He came and did a backyard inspection and that evening we had a rough draft outlining ideas for the space. As the designing went along he also gave us 3D renderings of the space to help us visualize the end product. I can't say enough good things about him.

I had the opportunity to work with Allen on 2 occasions. The first time was when I was building my house and wanted him to design my patio and landscaping. The patio area was small but he used every inch of the space so wisely that it actually seems large now. My landscaping was exactly what I wanted too! Planters, plants and lighting fit in and blend so well with the environment and is very pleasing to the eye. Once I saw how nice his design worked for our house my husband and I asked him to come back and add more plants and lighting and more trees because everything looked so good it made us want more. He once again surprised us! His creativity and knowledge of plants and vision of what we wanted turned out amazing. He clearly listens to his clients and turns your vision into reality.
