Buyer beware. We had a 3.575 kW system installed in July 2019. The process was very smooth and efficient and the system was installed in a timely manner. It has performed well since then. Recently we decided to expand our capacity and while I was gathering information to use in getting bids I discovered that the inverter that was listed in the contract and in the permit application was supposed to be 3800 W (SolarEdge model SE3800-H). However, the label on the inverter that was installed showed it was a 3000 W unit (Model SE3800-H). I contacted the owner, Steve Poulin. He was defensive and claimed that the 3800 W inverter was overkill and that the 3000 W model would be adequate. I pointed out the discrepancy between what was on the contract and permit application and, contrary to the contract, a written change order was not executed. After some argument back and forth he asked what would make it right. I said that at the least I should be reimbursed for the difference in cost. Leter I got a phone call from an assistant stating I would get a check in a couple of weeks. It has been a month and they no longer respond to my efforts to contact them. Lesson learned - confirm that what you paid for and what you got are the same.

Steve Poulin, co-owner of Poulin Solar Pro, came out to our house and spent a couple of hours with us, calculating how many solar panels we would need for our lifestyle and energy usage. He also looked at a year’s worth of electric bills to help us calculate how much money we would save with solar (besides the environmental benefits) and estimated how much we’d earn for our tax return with the solar upgrade which served as a rebate. The cost for our solar panels was reasonable, and his crew helped us understand the new electric box we needed to install due to the age of our original box (built in the 1950s). Steve helped us finance the cost of our panels, with a 0% interest for part of the cost for one year (which we paid off before the year was over) and a very reasonable loan with our local credit union at a very low interest rate of less than 4% for the remaining balance. Steve handled all of the loan paperwork. We never had to leave our house to address the set up or the financing for the project. At most we discussed the loan once over the phone. The project was completed on time and as promised. And we have an app on our phones that shows us how much each solar panel is producing. We have been living solar for a year now and are so happy with our choice.

We are now putting power back into the grid, and don't pay for electricity! Everyone was helpful and nice, I'm so glad I found them!

They are on top of everything from the beginning, sales and design through activating the internet application that allows you to see the energy created. Steve Poulin and Ron Phelps were exceptional to work with. They took care of even the smallest details, including HOA approval design, permitting, coordinating inspections and system activation. Even the time line they promised us worked out. They kept us informed about their progress and helped us make contact with PNM, the local energy company, to track progress through their system leading to system activation. All the design and permitting process is handled through Poulin. Since our array was rather large, installation took a full two days. From the day Steve Poulin sat down with us (for about 2 hours) to propose a design for our smallish flat roof in Nob Hill and explain the installation, materials, and processes involved, to the day of our final connection, we were completely satisfied with the knowledge, technical ability, and efficiency of everyone and everything at every step of the way. Everyone we dealt with — Steve, Ron, Brian, and another gentleman whose name I cannot remember — were all reliable, polite, and helpful (the word ‘friendly’ also comes to mind!). We are now happily watching out PNM meter spin backwards as it inputs solar energy from our rooftop system. All this came with far less expense than we were expecting. A "win-win" situation all around. Thank you. Absolutely would recommend.
