When we selected NAR Design Group to help us with the interior of our new home build, we knew early on that this was going to be a special journey together. The process was so unique and unlike any other group we interviewed. The design team took the time to really understand our lifestyles and how we wanted each of the various areas of our house to look, feel and function. They even asked where we like to have our breakfast! The team was careful to consider how everything flowed together, creating an organic and warm harmony from room to room. We’ve been in our new home for about 6 months now, and the design and craftsmanship has exceeded our wildest expectations. Nar and his team took us to places far beyond our vision, and the experience was well coordinated and communicated each step of the way. A luxury experience from start to finish. The design for my dining room and powder bath remodel was a fantastic interpretation of my wishes. The adjectives I used to guide the process were actually used by visitors to describe the final result. The construction process was the least unpleasant of any remodel I've done. Nar's group paid close attention to almost every detail. Quality of work was superb. I felt comfortable and cared for. Hope to work with Nar Design Group again if we can come up with the cash, they are obviously not a bargain operation.

Nar, Ashlee & their team helped us after a kitchen fire early in the summer. I heard back from Nar almost immediately after contacting them. Long story short, we ended up redoing our kitchen, bathrooms, and many parts of the house. From day one, Nar and his associates were professional, offered great ideas, and worked within our budget. Nar personally advocated for us with our insurance agency, which really went above and beyond and made everything 100% easier. The result (ahead of schedule) is a beautiful new kitchen, wood floors throughout the house, and a lot of the funky electrical systems that came with our older home fixed. We have also hired them to redo our front door and would certainly have them do anything else that comes up in the future.

Nar and Ashley came in with great ideas for updating our house stuck in 1980. The sunken family room was raised - the County disapproved our request to replace the old fireplace with a new gas fireplace, Nar and Ashley challenged us to keep an open mind - WOW! A beautiful piece of artwork commands the family room and everyone who sees it. In the kitchen, we love the 7' sink with 2 faucets, making for a great work space and serving station. We love the marble back splash behind the stove. In the bathroom we asked to keep something reminiscent of the old - The gold swan faucet and gold mirror fit that bill. We are truly enjoying our new space!

We have a mid-century house that was way overdue for a kitchen update. We needed a designer who was enthusiastic about respecting the original architectural intention, yet had the vision to incorporate current kitchen solutions. The Nar Design Group did an amazing job of giving us a thinking-outside-the-box design that is beautiful and functional -- and yes, has mid-century design integrity. Their design approach was bold, innovative and ultimately responsible for a really delightful space. And they were helpful all along the way so we were confident from beginning to end of a successful outcome.

Nar Design Group installed our cabinets 10 years ago and we have loved our kitchen in every way. Recently, after 10 years of wear and tear, Nar came out to adjust several of our drawers to make them "new" again. The hardware is so sophisticated and of such quality, that the fix was super easy and we are back to normal. Good quality, great service.... It feels good to have made the right choice.

Nar Fine Carpentry Review Project overview: Demolish existing 1970's kitchen, design new kitchen, install new kitchen. Long story short: I highly recommend Nar Fine Carpentry for any kitchen remodel you have in mind. The team there is personable, professional, respectful, highly skilled, efficient, organized, and a pleasure to work with. Hiring a company that can take your ideas and bring them to fruition without you having to get bogged down in construction details is the way to go. Now that the project’s finished, I miss them being around. Short story made long: I came across Nar Fine Carpentry on the Internet through a series of converging circumstances while I was trying to decide how to approach a complete kitchen remodel in my dated circa 1974 house in Citrus Heights, CA. My project started out with me trying to coordinate everything on my own – design, materials suppliers, various contractors and so forth. Along the way I had designers, materials suppliers and various contractors flake out on me and that was before things even started getting going. I could see that I was getting nowhere fast and that dealing with separate designers, material suppliers and various contractors wasn’t going to work out for me this time; I had two kitchen remodel experiences under my belt. I didn’t have the patience to do this on my own again. While looking for the kitchen cabinet brand I wanted, I found Nar Fine Carpentry. I checked out their website and found that they and I had very close tastes in style. I stopped by their showroom to take a look at the cabinet line and in the process talked to both owner Nar and designer Ashlee about kitchen design and remodel and their approach to it. I liked what I heard, so I made an appointment for Nar to come over to the house to look at the kitchen. We talked about what I wanted to do and what I could do, and talked about my budget - which was below the average complete kitchen remodel budget – and I decided that going this direction with Nar Fine Carpentry was the way to go. I am overwhelmed by how well treated and respected I was by Nar and his team and thoroughly impressed with how efficient and organized every aspect of the project was run. Even though I gave his team full reign on the design, within the agreed upon goal and budget in mind, my suggestions for design details were welcomed and respected. I was able to meet numerous times with designer Ashlee Richardson to pick out materials and finishes that we both agreed would compliment where the design was going. It was a fun experience. In the final design that respected the budget, I was given some extra options that were not in the budget that I could add if I wanted to. I decided to add a couple of them but not adding them would not have taken away from the completed design. When the project started, project manager Julie coordinated the company’s carefully screened and chosen contractors’ coming and going over the course of the project. She was also onsite when needed, even on short notice, to make sure things ran smoothly. Designer Ashlee also came to the project site multiple times to make sure design things were going as planned – and she was there for the final building inspection. All the trades people – carpenters, electricians, plumbers, tilers, cabinet installers - that worked here were truly professional and respectful . I was able to run my necessary errands outside the house while they were working knowing that it would be in trustworthy hands while I was gone. I also have pets and specific requests about their well being and everyone took the extra care to make sure no pets got into the work area or escaped from an open window or door. The absolute best part of hiring Nar Fine Carpentry is not having to worry about miscommunication between the various folks working on the project. The convenience of having one point of contact for everything and everyone means that everything on the project is taken care without you having to decide who to talk to. If there was an area of concern, I would call the project manager and it would be taken care of without any additional need for me to call anyone else. From my experience on two other kitchen remodels I did on my own, I can tell you for a fact that this is the way to go. We just completed a whole-house remodel. Working with Nar Fine Carpentry from the design phase through final completion. Throughout the process they were excellent in every respect. We asked Nar and his designer, Nicolette Patton, to give us a functional "contemporary but traditional" design that would use our artwork from Mexico as focal point. Rockwell Residence Review: My kitchen was 10 years old and needed a face lift to upgrade appliances, replace worn cabinet finishes and create a better flow in the kitchen. Although the footprint of the kitchen was generous (about 22'x13') it felt chopped up. Nar and Nicolette brought incredible creativity, practicality and style to the design. They helped up "push the envelop" on the design, but kept with our tastes and the adjoining great room. The project came in on time, on budget, and the crew kept the work area clean and neat. I visited Nar's showroom just to look at cabinets, not necessarily to find a contractor. Once I talked with him I knew that he "got me". He and Nicolette are so creative and "out of the box"! They presented a plan and we tweaked the details together. They always listened to my ideas and then ran with them. Nar, his staff and subcontractors were great to work with and always considerate of my home and the disruption of life that a remodel brings. We are in commercial construction so we know about the process and everything was handled perfectly! Despite the inconvenience of living through a remodel, the process was so much fun! We are already collaborating on another project.

Nar Fine Carpentry has done a total revamp of my house - and we are still in the process. Started in the kitchen, then hardwood floors throughout, built-in cabinets in my home office, two major redesigns of walls in the dining room and living room. Most of this work is above an beyond the kitchen and bath redos/installation he is known for and was done with high artistic value. The last project was to bring my rear yeard area into my 'living area' for entertaining purposes and he accomplished this again incorporarting his artistic eye and talent, my needs, and cost caps (well sorta :-)).

We are deep into a second project with Nar & his team. They have provided gorgeous cabinets for our kitchen, 2 baths, & master bedroom. We're now doing a second kitchen. Very creative & excellent sense of style. Responsive to our expressed interests but then pushed us to a much more exciting place in cabinet selection. No hidden surprises in terms of costs or product quality. Patient with us and met all deadlines. Installation a no fuss no muss event. We have and will continue to recommend this company of true craftspeople who are absolutely delightful to deal with.
