There is so much content out there as it relates to interior design, it is easy to feel tempted to try to do it yourself. Working with Lisa has shown me how foolhardy I would have been to try to do so. Lisa doesn't look at trends when determining the direction of the project, but rather considers the bones of the house, the lifestyle of the family, their personal aesthetic, among many other factors. There are so many details with a project of this size and scale and Lisa doesn't overlook a single one. It is with these details that she is able to ensure supreme functionality of a home but also that there is the magic of design. The way she looks at color is true artistry. I also appreciate her process. The project evolves over time which allowed me to feel confident that a selection wouldn't feel tired or out of place by the time of installation. I recently updated the main level of my house. I thought that I could make all of the decisions and complete the project on my own, but became overwhelmed and realized that I needed assistance pulling everything together. Lisa Michael was working with my friend and I loved everything that she did in her home. Once I realized I needed help, I hired Lisa. Lisa helped to select paint colors and flooring as well as lighting and finishes while keeping everything cohesive. She has excellent taste, is responsive and very easy to work with. When I first reached out to Lisa, it was in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic. We both knew that it wasn’t the most ideal time to be remodeling a kitchen. I chose to work with Lisa remotely because she quickly proved she was invested in my project, communication was a breeze. Lisa sent me curated selections for my project and explained her thought process along the way. Lisa helped marry my vintage mid century style with a California cool vibe that has made my house a chic kindergartner friendly home. The biggest elements of the project were new flooring and lighting throughout, as well as a few furniture pieces and wall accessories. While I originally considered laminate wood flooring Lisa explained the pros and cons of hardwood vs laminate, I ultimately selected a light oak wood flooring she recommended which helped me achieve my goals of brightening my condo due to a lack of natural light. Lisa provided a lighting plan and elevation drawings so the electricians could install the light fixtures at the proper locations and heights. Every step of the way Lisa was there for me (and my contractors). We visited showrooms together via FaceTime, she sent me drawings via email, I never for a second looked back to a local designer after working with LM Interiors. Whether you are near or far, Lisa is a consummate professional with a passion and innate talent for interiors and will make your space more “you” than you knew it could be.

I fell in love with Lisa’s aesthetic, although I live in Charlotte she was willing to work with me through her e-design services. Lisa guided me through the process of redecorating my home and provided me with a layout, furniture selections and wall colors, as well as decor items and art selection. We love our ‘new’ home. This is our getaway home from the cold northern winter. We asked Lisa to create a Cape Cod style beach house. She did not disappoint. It is even better than what we could have imagined. By removing a wall, she opened the space and made it bright and so welcoming. We were north for most of the renovations. Lisa was my ‘eyes’. My husband and I hired Lisa Michael Interiors to design our custom vacation home in 2014. We wanted a colorful and comfortable retreat that our whole family and close friends could enjoy away from the cold winters up north. The result is a beautiful and modern home that we are so excited to share. The project consisted of two phases. Phase 1 was working with Lisa to select all of the finishes for the kitchen, bathrooms and living spaces. Although we were limited with the selections provided by the builder, Lisa was able to wade through the choices providing us with a unique home. In Phase 2 Lisa developed a color story and design concept integrating her original ideas into a finished design. Our home has custom millwork and many other custom fabrics and one of a kind furnishings that Lisa specially designed. We had total confidence in Lisa so we allowed her to direct the project ,although at times we were unsure of what things would look like. Lisa’s display of attention to detail and passion for design gave us the confidence we needed to trust the process. Lisa is a designer who does not accept average.
