“Carry-On” is currently the most popular movie on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.
The new action thriller premiered on Dec. 13 to mostly positive reviews. Set on Christmas Eve at LAX, the movie follows a TSA agent who gets embroiled in a high-stakes criminal plot that puts hundreds of lives at risk.

“Red One” became available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on Dec. 12, following its theatrical release in November.
The holiday action comedy stars Dwayne Johnson as the head of North Pole security who must team up with a hacker (played by Chris Evans) to rescue Santa Claus after he is kidnapped on Christmas Eve. The cast also includes Lucy Liu, J. K. Simmons, Kiernan Shipka, Bonnie Hunt, Nick Kroll, Kristofer Hivju and Wesley Kimmel.
Another holiday movie is trending on Hulu. “A Sudden Case of Christmas” is a new remake of a 2022 Italian film called “Improvvisamente Natale.”
The plot revolves around a 10-year-old girl who travels to Italy with her divorcing parents and tries to bring them back together with one last Christmas together ... in the middle of August. “A Sudden Case of Christmas” stars Danny DeVito, Andie MacDowell, Wilmer Valderrama, Lucy DeVito and Antonella Rose.
The award-winning documentary “Sugarcane” premiered on National Geographic on Dec. 9 and started streaming on Disney+ the following day.
Co-directed by indigenous rights activist and filmmaker Julian Brave NoiseCat, the film dives into the history of the Canadian Indian residential school system, including stories of physical and sexual abuse and other traumas.
“Joker: Folie à Deux” is the most popular movie on Max at the moment. Released in theaters in October, the musical thriller is a sequel to 2019′s “Joker.”
