Drew Barrymore says she never took infidelity lightly — particularly in her younger years.

The “Scream” actor was deep in conversation Monday on her eponymous daytime talk show with guest SZA about life, love and relationships, when Barrymore revealed the impressive lengths she once went to in order to get back at an unfaithful ex-boyfriend.

“I found out my ex-boyfriend was cheating on me,” Barrymore told SZA, per Entertainment Weekly. “This was decades ago. I took all of his stuff in my house and I put it all in his car and then I rolled his car down his driveway and left it there and just walked away.”

That was only the first step in Barrymore’s multipronged effort for retribution, however.

“I made the girl he was cheating on me with meet me for drinks with him sitting there,” she told SZA. “I was like, ‘You’re gonna sit here and you’re gonna listen to the two of us talk! So shut up and listen!’ And then I drove him home and I looked at him and I go, ‘Now get out.’”

Barrymore noted that this ex-boyfriend is “a dear friend” now, however, and excused his past transgression by admitting that she “did dumb things, too” during their relationship — as they were both “young and stupid” at the time.

“That wasn’t stupid,” said SZA, per EW. “That was fire. I’m inspired. I’m deeply inspired.”

The Grammy winner went on to tease Barrymore about her unwavering empathy, which Barrymore was forced to address last year after criticism on social media for being so touchy-feely with guests — after the host said she’s still friends with all her ex-boyfriends.

“Because you’re ... probably also smiling while you’re like, ‘Get out of the car,’” joked SZA.

While the “Charlie’s Angels” actor didn’t name the ex in question, she was famously married to actors Jeremy Thomas, Tom Green and Will Kopelman — and has reportedly dated Corey Feldman, David Arquette, Luke Wilson and Justin Long, among others.

SZA praised Barrymore for having such resilience after a breakup but confessed that her own split is “too fresh for me.” She was reportedly engaged to a fashion designer (rumored to be Scott Sasso) from 2008 to 2019 — and was linked to rapper Travis Scott in 2023.

When Barrymore told her that “time heals,” SZA said, “No it don’t. Time passes, baby. Time passes.”
