Shout Factory Opens “Snowtime” Nationwide Friday
Joining the fray of independent distributors bringing a wider diversity of foreign and independent animated films into the U.S. marketplace, Shout! Factory (via Shout Kids) begins a new slate of animated theatrical releases on Friday with the debut of the Canadian Snowtime.
Opening on over 50 screens nationwide (including the Village East Cinema in New York City, and the Laemmle Music Hall in L.A.), the film features a cast including pop singer Ross Lynch (Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally and the band R5) and actress Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy, Sideways).
Produced by Marie-Claude Beauchamp (The Legend of Sarila) and directed by Jean-François Pouliot (La Grande Séduction), its soundtrack also features singer Céline Dion and the popular rock band Simple Plan. Here’s a peek:
