Pedro Pascal is a Chilean-American actor from across television and film known for his cross-genre body of work. He began acting professionally on stage and screen in the late-1990s but became a breakout performer in “Game of Thrones” Season 4 in the one-season guest role of Oberyn Martell.
Since then, Pascal has gone on to lead sci-fi and fantasy series with “The Mandalorian” and “The Last Of Us,” as well as a multi-season arc on Netflix’s acclaimed “Narcos.” Pascal has also cultivated a consistent film career with action movies like “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” and “Wonder Woman 1984,” as well as offbeat gems like “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” or even a cameo “Drive Away Dolls.” Pascal starred in Pedro Almodovar’s short film “Strange Way of Life,” with Ethan Hawke, which debuted in 2023 and prompted Almodovar to praise Pascal’s range and admonish Hollywood for pigeonholing him.
After decades of work in theater alongside his screen career, Pascal made his Broadway debut as Edmund in “King Lear” in 2019, and in 2023 hosted “Saturday Night Live” with musical guest Bad Bunny. His performance as Joel in “The Last of Us” Season 1 earned him a SAG award in 2024.
Pascal’s upcoming projects include Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator II” and entering the MCU as Reed Richards in “The Fantastic Four.” “The Last of Us” will return for a second season, and Pascal will executive produce and star in Steve Conrad’s “My Dentist’s Murder Trial” with David Harbour.
