More than a dozen car owners learned a valuable lesson in life this weekend: never park your vehicle on a frozen lake.
As part of Lake Geneva city's annual Winterfest, large crowds had gathered by the lake of the same name to see ice sculptures, music and other activities.
But the festivities turned sour as up to 20 cars are thought to have fallen through the ice thanks after cars packed closely together and unexpectedly warm weather became what one local news reporter described as "a recipe for disaster".
