Kelly Clarkson’s career advice to Taylor Swift has gone viral again after Swift’s re-release of her 2008 album, Fearless.
Back in July 2019, the feud between Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun hit it’s peak after he bought Swift’s masters from her old label, Big Machine Records - meaning that he owned Swift’s first six albums (Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation) that were produced under her former record label.
Swift decided to re-record those albums and released the first one, 2008’s Fearless last week.
However, there is one person who had a hunch that re-recording the albums would be a good move for Swift - none other than fellow pop star Kelly Clarkson!
Her tweet advising Swift to re-record her albums back in 2019 is making rounds again on Twitter and it’s certainly aged well.
@taylorswift13 just a thought, U should go in & re-record all the songs that U don’t own the masters on exactly how… https://t.co/EzqVhbUtEg— Kelly Clarkson (@Kelly Clarkson) 1563056434
But that wasn’t the only thing Clarkson predicted.
She also said in her tweet that Swift should ‘put brand new art and some kind of incentive’.
Which is exactly what Swift did, she created brand new art work for Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and the album also includes six unreleased songs ‘From The Vault’ as an incentive for fans.
