Ice-T and Coco Austin Reveal How Often They’re Intimate After 2 Decades of Marriage: ‘Keep It Up’
Ice-T and wife Coco Austin have never been shy when it comes to talking about their time in the bedroom, and the couple recently revealed how often they are intimate.
“You have to keep it healthy,” Coco, 45, told E! News about her sex life with Ice-T, 66, in an interview published on Friday, November 1. “I would say good and healthy is three times a week. I think that’s good after 23 years. I think you have to keep it up.”
She then teased some NSFW details about what she and her husband keep things spicy in the bedroom.
“We usually wear a mask like these,” Coco joked, referring to the Halloween costume Ice-T wore to Heidi Klum‘s 23rd Annual Halloween Party red carpet Thursday, October 31. “Incorporate in the sex world. We [also] do a lot of date nights, going to dinner, getting dressed up for each other and [he picks] out what he wants me to wear.”
The couple tied the knot in 2002, and they are the proud parents to daughter Chanel, 8.
In addition to keeping things steamy in the bedroom, Coco and Ice-T – whose real name is Tracy Lauren Marrow – noted that they also prioritize other aspects of their relationship to keep the romance alive. “We do a lot of date nights,” she told the outlet. “Going to dinner, getting dressed up for each other and picking out what he wants me to wear.”
Ice-T then weighed in by pointing out that a lack of intimacy in a relationship could stem from bigger issues.
“When you first get with somebody, you want to have sex, right?” he said. “If that ever ends, it’s a wrap. When that feeling goes away, forget about it.”
The couple has previously shared intimate details about their sex life, and he previously credited “jungle sex” for the reason their marriage has lasted over two decades. “That flame has to stay lit,” he told E! News back in January.
“When that flame goes out and you’re not really attracted to each other anymore, you have to address that very quickly because it’s something that’s necessary,” Ice-T continued.
However, the Law & Order: SVU actor did note that his marriage to Coco has a lot of strong aspects outside of the bedroom. “I think Coco and I are teammates,” he gushed. “We have to be teammates, not opponents, not assets, not liabilities. I value what she brings to me, and I think it’s vice versa. We appreciate each other.”
Ice-T previously looked back on their marriage during an exclusive interview with In Touch in 2021, admitting that he “couldn’t have picked a better partner.” He then added that Coco “pulls her weight and kills it in every department.”
When asked what their secret to a happy marriage is, he said that they “address problems quickly.”
“She doesn’t say, ‘I’m mad at you from last month.’ How am I supposed to fix something if I didn’t know it was broken?” Ice-T shared. “And we compromise. If you want to win every argument and do whatever you want to do, there’s a name for that — it’s called being single!”
