iPolipo, Inc. dba Jifflenow including its subsidiaries and affiliates, (collectively “Jifflenow”) values the privacy of our Customers, customers’ Users, and site visitors, (individually or collectively, “Customers” or “Users”) that visit our websites and/or use Jifflenow to manage meetings at B2B events such as trade shows, user forums, and that otherwise use www.Jifflenow.com and its associated websites, products, and services (collectively, the “Service”). For clarity under the GDPR (see below), Jifflenow acts as a data controller of its Customers’ Personal Information (“CPI”) and as a processor (or service provider) of its Customers’ Users’ Personal Information (“UPI”).


This Privacy Policy details Jifflenow’s collection, use/processing, transfer, sharing, and other information-handling practices with respect to Personal Information as described below.

1 | Personal Information collected by Jifflenow

As used in this policy, and consistent with the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) and the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), Personal Information, is information that can identify a person, directly or indirectly. Personal Information includes name, address, email, and any information that could reasonably be linked back to a person. JiffleNow collects the following Personal Information:

  •  From Customers (“CPI”): Name, company name, address, business contact information (including business phone number, image such as your profile picture (optional), and business e-mail address).

  • From Customers’ Users (“UPI”): Users share various types of information through use of the Service. For example, you can upload and post meeting details, your bio, photo, personal links and other documents you wish to have accessible to other users. Additionally, UPI includes other information related to your use of the Service, for example, meeting times and meeting logistics.

  • From visitors to the JiffleNow website: Name, business e-mail address, company name, business phone number.
  1. “Cookies” Information : When you access the Service, we may place one or more cookies, pixels, or similar technology trackers on your computer to help Jifflenow provide the Service. Please review your web browser “Help” file to learn the best way to modify your cookie settings. Please note that disabling cookies may prevent you from accessing some of the functionality available via the Service.
  2. Log Information : When you use the Service, Jifflenow automatically records information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website (“Log Information”). This Log Information may include information such as your IP address, date and time, browser type and the domain from which you are visiting. Jifflenow does not use Log Information to identify you, but we do use it to analyze usage trends, administer and maintain the Service and improve service levels. IP addresses are not tied to any identifiable information.

2 | Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for or directed at anyone under the age of thirteen (13).

3 | How Jifflenow Uses Personal Information

Jifflenow uses the Personal Information that we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, enhance, and provide the Services;

  • Provide support and Service-related updates to Jifflenow Customers and Users;

  • Understand and analyze usage trends and preferences;

  • Improve Jifflenow’s marketing and promotional efforts; and

       

  • Develop new features and functionality.

4 | When Jifflenow Shares Information

  • To Service Providers. We work with service providers to provide application development, hosting, maintenance, and other services for us. We may transfer, and these service providers may have access to or process, information about you as part of providing those services for us. Generally, we limit the information provided to these service providers to that which is reasonably necessary for them to perform their functions, and we require them to agree to maintain the confidentiality of such information and to treat such data in conformance with this Privacy Policy. We use analytics services such as Google Analytics and others to help us operate, understand, and improve the Services.

  • To Comply with Laws. We may disclose information about you if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with laws, in response to a court order, judicial or other government subpoena or warrant, or to otherwise cooperate with law enforcement or other governmental agencies.

  • To Protect Our Legal Rights. We also reserve the right to disclose information about you that we believe, in good faith, is appropriate or necessary to: (i) take precautions against liability; (ii) protect ourselves or others from fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful uses or activity; (iii) investigate and defend ourselves against any third party claims or allegations; (iv) protect the security or integrity of the Services and any facilities or equipment used to make the Services available; or (v) protect our property or other legal rights (including, but not limited to, enforcement of our agreements), or the rights, property, or safety of others.

  • In Corporate Reorganizations. Information may be disclosed during due diligence or in preparation for or after an acquisition or merger, consolidation, change in control, transfer of substantial assets, financing, reorganization or similar corporate transactions with requirements for the receiving party to maintain the confidentiality of such information, or in the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership in which information is transferred to one or more third parties as one of our business assets. Jifflenow will provide notice via email or the Jifflenow website to Customers and Users of any change of ownership. If your Personal Information will be used differently than as described in this policy by the successor organization so that you may exercise your rights over your Personal Information.

5 | How long will we retain Personal Information?

Jifflenow keeps CPI and UPI for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was transferred to us, or as required or permitted by law. We have established minimum and maximum retention periods, including for backup storage, as well as appropriate procedures for the destruction and disposal of Personal Information. Jifflenow further reserves the right to retain your Personal Information or other data collected from you as a result of your use of the Services to prevent fraud and misuse of the Services.

6 | Your Choices: Providing, Changing or Deleting Your Information

Jifflenow supports Customers’, Users’, and Visitors’ privacy rights under applicable law by supporting requests for:

  • Deletion/Erasure;
  • Correction;
  • Access; or,
  • Objection to processing,

all of which can be exercised by submitting a request here.

Additionally, other than the data minimally necessary to use the Services, you may decline to share Personal Information with Jifflenow, however, Jifflenow will not be able to provide certain features and functionality found on the Service. All Users may review, update, correct or delete the Personal Information in their registration profile at any time.

7 | Our Commitment to Data Security

Jifflenow maintains a comprehensive information security program designed to protect CPI and UPI using administrative, physical, and technical safeguards. The specific security measures used are based on the sensitivity of the Personal Information collected. We have measures in place to protect against inappropriate access, loss, misuse, or alteration of Personal Information under our control.

The Jifflenow (and Cvent) security team regularly reviews and updates our security and privacy practices as necessary to help ensure the integrity of our systems and your Personal Information. Further, as no security measures 100% effective, it is important that you also guard against unauthorized access to your Personal Information by maintaining strong passwords and protecting against the unauthorized use of your own computer or device.

If Jifflenow learns of a breach of its systems, we will follow the applicable legal and regulatory frameworks.

Please note that Jifflenow will not request payment information, username, password, or any other Personal Information through a non-secure or unsolicited e-mail or telephone communication.

8 | International Transfer

Your information may be transferred to and processed outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. Jifflenow transfers Personal Information to the United States and maintains and processes it there. For international Customers and Users in the UK, Switzerland, and the EU, Jifflenow relies on the Data Privacy Framework for data transfer. Additionally, Jifflenow also has standard contractual clauses in place for EU-based customers. You can view these contracts here.

9 | Third-Party Services

The Site contains, and the Software may present, links to sites and services outside of Jifflenow. Jifflenow is not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party sites or service. We encourage you to be aware when you leave the Site or otherwise link to other sites, to read the privacy policies of such sites. Jifflenow’s Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by the Services.

10 | California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)

The CCPA applies solely to those of you who reside in the State of California. Jifflenow provides this supplemental notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (the “CCPA”). Any terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning when used in this section, unless otherwise noted.

  • Directly from you (for example, when you create an account or when a visitor the Jifflenow software at a tradeshow); and,
  • Automatically when you interact with our Services, such as, without limitation, as enabled by cookies, web beacons, or other tools.
Business or Commercial Purpose Which Personal Information Will Be Used

Jifflenow does not disclose personal information to any third parties, other than as described in this Privacy Policy or with your consent.

As described in more details in our Privacy Policy at section 3 - “How Jifflenow Uses Personal Information”:

  • We use the information collected for our business, including, without limitation, to operate, maintain, enhance, improve, and provide the features of the Services.
  • We may also use your email address or other information to contact you for administrative or customer service purposes, and to send other business communications to you.
Disclosure, Sale, and Sharing of Personal Information

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Request that we disclose to you the following information covering the 12 months preceding your request:
  1. The categories of personal information that we have collected about you;
  2. The categories of sources from which the personal information was collected;
  3. The business or commercial purpose for collecting personal information about you;
  4. The categories of third parties to whom we disclosed personal information about you, the categories of personal information that was disclosed, and the purpose for disclosing the personal information about you (if we have made any such disclosures);
  5. The specific pieces of personal information we collected about you; and,
  6. Request that we delete personal information we collected from you, unless the CCPA recognizes an exception.
  • Request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you; and,

Exercising Your Rights

To request access to your personal information or request deletion, or correction, please submit a verifiable request through one of the following methods:

Only you or a person authorized to act on your behalf may make a consumer request related to your personal information.

You may only request a copy of your data twice within any 12-month period.  The request must:

  • Provide sufficient information to allow us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative; and,
  • Describe your request with sufficient details to allow us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.

We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request.

Response Timing and Format

Our goal is to respond to a verifiable request within 45 days of its receipt. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. Any disclosures we provide will cover only the 12-month period preceding the request. If applicable, the response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with the request. We will provide your personal information in a format that is readily usable and should allow you to transmit the information without hindrance.

We will not charge a fee to process or respond to your request unless it is excessive or repetitive. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will provide you with the basis for that decision and a cost estimate before completing your request.

Global Privacy Control: Some browsers and browser extensions support the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) that can send a signal to the websites you visit indicating your choice to opt-out from certain types of data processing, including data sales. If your browser supports it, you can turn on the Global Privacy Control to opt-out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. 

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA, including if you are an employee, applicant, or independent contractor of our business. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not, because of your exercise of such rights:

  • Deny you goods or services;
  • Charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties;
  • Provide you a different level or quality of goods or services; or,
  • Suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.

11 | GDPR

For our European visitors, consumers, and customers:

If you are a resident of or a visitor to Europe, you have certain rights with respect to the processing of your Personal Data, as defined in the GDPR.

For purposes of GDPR compliance, Jifflenow is the data controller of its customers’ personal information for account setup and maintenance purposes, and a data processor of its customers’ users personal information.

Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

For individuals that are from the European Economic Area (EEA) or other regions that stipulate a lawful basis for processing personal information (such as under GDPR Article 6), our legal basis for collecting and using their personal information will depend on the nature and circumstances of the processing activity. Where we are the processor for our Customers, our legal basis may be fulfilment of a contract or consent. Where we are the controller, our legal basis will be consent or legitimate interest where the processing is in our legitimate interests and not overridden by the individual’s data protection interests, or fundamental rights and freedoms. These interests are to provide individuals with access to the Software and features of the Software; to send them information they have requested; to ensure the security of our Software by trying to prevent unauthorised or malicious activities; or to enforce compliance with our terms of use, contracts and other policies.

As used herein, “Personal Data” means any information that identifies you as an individual, such as name, address, email address, IP address, phone number, business address, business title, business email address, company, etc. To make any of the following requests, contact us using the contact details referred to in the “Contact Information” section of this Policy.

  • Access: You can request more information about the Personal Data we hold about you. You can also request a copy of the Personal Data.
  • Rectification: If you believe that any Personal Data we are holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, you can request that we correct or supplement such data. You can also correct some of this information directly by logging into your service account. Please contact us as soon as possible upon noticing any such inaccuracy or incompleteness.
  • Objection: You can contact us to let us know that you object to the collection or use of your Personal Data for certain purposes.
  • Erasure: You can request that we erase some or all of your Personal Data from our systems.
  • Restriction of Processing: You can ask us to restrict further processing of your Personal Data.
  • Portability: You have the right to ask for a copy of your Personal Data in a machine-readable format. You can also request that we transmit the data to another entity where technically feasible.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: If we are processing your Personal Data based on your consent (as indicated at the time of collection of such data), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Please note, however, that if you exercise this right, it may limit your ability to use some/ all of our Services and you may have to then provide express consent on a case-by-case basis for the use or disclosure of certain of your Personal Data, if such use or disclosure is necessary to enable you to utilize some or all of our Services.

EU Standard Contractual Clauses

In addition to the Data Privacy Framework referenced above at section 8 – International Transfers, JIfflenow complies with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (“SCCs”) with respect to the transfer of Personal Data from the EU to the US for processing. If there is any conflict between the terms and conditions in this Privacy Policy and your rights under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, the terms and conditions in the EU Standard Contractual Clauses will govern. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, “EU Standard Contractual Clauses” mean the standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to processors established in the US. (Commission Decision 2010/87/EC). You can view these contracts here.
