A second Los Angeles County resident has become infected with West Nile virus, health officials said Tuesday.

The 60-year-old Arcadia man, whose name was not released, became infected during the first week of June, said Kelly Middleton, a spokeswoman for the San Gabriel Valley Mosquito and Vector Control District.

She said the man experienced typical West Nile symptoms, including fever, weakness and a rash, and is recovering at home.
