The new iOS 11 is crammed to the brim with new features. It brings, for example, a completely redesigned Control Center with the ability to add and remove shortcuts, a completely redesigned App Store, a smarter Siri, a saving format for photos and videos, new tools to save storage, news to the Camera and Photos applications, a ton of news for the iPad, an improved HomeKit and finally and essential support for augmented reality. However, not all the news is positive, and unfortunately with the arrival of iOS 11, some functions have been added or changed that will irritate you. We also found a few of these in the editorial office and decided to share their list with you.

Preview screenshots

In iOS 11, after each screenshot is taken, a thumbnail will always appear in the lower left corner. Thanks to this, the image can be quickly shared or edited (add text, arrows, etc.). The problem is that it is not possible to disable the preview anywhere in the settings. If you take one screenshot a day, the preview won't annoy you, but if you take several screenshots in a row, then the previews will start to annoy you. It is true, however Apple it has a function that is quite thought out and when taking several pictures in quick succession, they do not show a preview. Even so, it wouldn't be bad if the preview could be deactivated. For example, it is possible on Android.

Auto brightness

What really bugs me about iOS 11 is the move of the auto-brightness switch deeper into the system. In fact, I expected the complete opposite, that is Apple adds a shortcut for auto-brightness to the new control center, which now has a ton of different toggles. But instead the function moved from Settings -> Display and brightness do Settings -> In general -> Disclosure -> Customizing the display.

Dictation

In iOS 11, the behavior of the keyboard during dictation has changed slightly. It's a really small change, but it can be annoying. Now if you start dictation, say whatever you want and then confirm the end of dictation by clicking on the box or the microphone icon, it will not automatically switch back to the classic keyboard as it was with the previous system, but just end the dictation. To go back, you need to use the new keyboard icon.

Update in the App Store

The new look of the App Store has been quite successful, although I personally miss the quick access to the charts of the most popular applications and games. But what really bothers me about the redesigned App Store is the absence of any update size indicator. Not even on the tab updates and even in the application detail itself, in the description of the new version, there is no mention of how big the update is. You don't know if it's 5 MB or 200 MB, which plays a role especially if you're connected to a slower Wi-Fi and you're thinking about leaving the download of new versions at home, where you have a fast connection.

Deleting notifications

With the new Notification Center came a slightly changed behavior of the notification list. Now only the most recent notifications are visible at the top, and to display the older ones, you need to "unpack" them from below. But the problem is that you won't see a cross for mass deletion of the most recent notifications, and if you don't have any notifications from today's or yesterday's history below, then you simply won't mass delete the most recent ones. You have to wait until the notifications literally get old and go into "Today's History" or even until midnight and move to the "Yesterday" section.

Take a look at the screenshots below for a better idea:

If you own a device without a 3D Touch display, the situation is even worse, because in that case even the sections with older notifications won't help you, since deleting all notifications at once is possible by pressing the cross more.

Touch 3D

With iOS 11, the list of all 3D Touch shortcuts has been reduced by one, specifically for some of the most useful gestures. In iOS 11, it is no longer possible to quickly move between apps by pressing the left edge of the display and quickly swiping to the right. Even if you press the edge and press it harder, the app switcher does not appear, as it did on iOS 10 and iOS 9. Unfortunately, this is not a bug, but an intention on Apple's part. Unfortunately, only the company's software engineers themselves know the reason. Some owners of iPhone 6s and iPhone 7 may have never used the mentioned function, but others took it as an inherent part of controlling the phone.

Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in Control Center

I guess all of you have already registered, haven't you Apple changed the behavior of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth shortcuts in the new Control Center. Although the icons turn gray when you click on them, none of the elements actually turn off, they just disconnect from the network or from the wireless device. The described behavior doesn't bother me that much, because I really only turned off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth sporadically. But it bothers me that the iPhone automatically connects again at 5 o'clock in the morning when Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned off (disconnected). That way, you will receive all the notifications that can wake you up with just vibrations. Before going to sleep, it is now necessary to either turn off both elements in the settings, or turn on Do Not Disturb mode, or activate Flight mode at night.
