Although the Pokémon GO game experienced the greatest boom and fame earlier, it still retains a number of devoted fans. This popular AR game is getting an update this October. However, if you own one of the older iPhones - or with an older version of the iOS operating system - it is quite possible that you will not receive the update. On the official Twitter account of Pokémon GO, a message appeared today that the game will no longer support devices with iOS 10 and iOS 11 operating systems.
For Pokémon Go players who own Apple devices, the game has until now required an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad with a 64-bit processor and iOS 10 or later. However, this will change with the arrival of the mentioned October update - the Pokémon Go game will no longer work on any of the Apple devices with the operating system iOS 10 or iOS 11. As for the operating system, it will be at least iOS 12 within the minimum requirements - but not even this version of the Apple mobile operating system does not guarantee that you will play Pokémon on your iPhone. The developers of the game point out that the game will not be played by iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 owners from October, even if they have the mentioned version of iOS installed on their smartphones.
It is not uncommon for games and other applications to drop support for older versions of operating systems after a certain period of time. In addition, Pokémon GO is a game based on the principle of augmented reality, so it has higher performance requirements than normal games. It is not yet clear whether owners of unsupported devices will lose the ability to play immediately with the release of the said update.
Pokemon is still not a faction even on IOS14 betas.
But they set me up more with Ghostbusters word, which ended on 13.8.2020.
Niantic does not support operation on iOS betas, they write it quite clearly and over and over again.
Same experience. Not even a knock at 14.
