Although the most popular protection for smartphones today is by far the classic "snap-on" covers that protect only the back in combination with tempered glass, many users still refuse to accept book-type cases that provide protection for the phone from all sides. And one such case recently arrived at our editorial office for testing. Specifically, we are talking about the FIXED ProFit leather case, which I tested in combination with iPhonem 14 Pro. So how did this case impress me?
Processing and design
The FIXED ProFit case is made of a combination of high-quality black cow leather and an inner silicone "cup" into which the phone is attached. However, this "bathtub" is visible only from its sides when the case is closed, and it is then covered with leather from the back and front. And since the "bathtub" is also black, it blends perfectly with the skin. As for the leather jacket, it is sewn by hand in Prostejov workshops, with the fact that it is very pleasant to the touch thanks to the slightly shiny surface with the typical structure of the leather.
Inside the case, there are two slots for cards, with the fact that there is one relatively large pocket under them, in which you can comfortably fit some money. However, from my own experience, I recommend the paper ones, because the metal cover can logically bulge out, which does not look very nice. And speaking of the lid, it goes without saying that it can turn off the phone's display, with the display automatically turning on as soon as you flip it off. As for the other elements that the case offers, there is a magnetic closure that ensures the impossibility of accidental opening.
If I were to evaluate the design, it is of course subjective for each of us. However, the combination of black leather with a black silicone "tub" is definitely a good choice for me, as is the bet on as many miniminimalist design. This makes the case look very elegant, which makes it great for business meetings when you take it out of your suit. However, you need to take into account that the phone in it may look more like a wallet than a mobile phone, which may not be to everyone's liking.

I admit that I have never been a big fan of book-type cases, as theyipadala quite clumsy. But because I like leather accessories and at the same time I quite often carry documents and credit cards, as well as cash, I like the piece from the FIXED workshop. Although it is necessary to take into account that the phone will "swell" quite significantly, on the other hand, it still holds comfortably in the hand and what perhaps pleased me the most is that when placed on its back, the phone does not wobble at all despite its robust rear camera. The leather on the back perfectly balances this hump, thanks to which the camera module is literally embedded in the case.
What I also like about the case is that, although it is relatively thick on the back, it still supports wireless charging, although unfortunately without MagSafeI also appreciate the "lid" with compartments for payment cards, other documents and some cash. I am used to paying mostly via Apple Pay and carry a driver's license and ID card in Apple MagSafe Wallet, but unfortunately they don't accept cards everywhere (which is especially annoying in the summer at beer stands) and MagSafe Wallet, on the other hand, can be "stuffed" with significantly less of everything compared to the FIXED case, and you can't worry about cash here.chat just dream
Of course, it should be taken into account that the phone is used in a classic case a little differently than when you put it in a book-type case. Controlling with one hand is, for example, significantly more complicated in such a case, and almost impossible. However, you can make a call with the case closed in the same way as with a classic back cover, because in the upper part of the case lid, FIXED did not forget the cut-out that makes the upper speaker and microphone accessible. The call can then be conveniently ended via the Power Button, which you can access even when the case is closed.
However, not to just praise, there is one thing that I think would be nice to solve a little better in the future. Specifically, there is a slight twisting of the edges of the cover lid, due to which it does not completely touch the edges of the phone. Since the leather is soft and pliable, the lid can be shaped by hand to some extent, but I think that if FIXED sewed some sort of solid insert into it, it wouldn't be too bad even at the cost of a little more swelling. Fortunately, this is a small detail which, in my opinion, is forgivable for a case for 799 CZK, taking into account the material used.
Summary
The FIXED ProFit case can definitely impress both with its design and price, as well as with its versatility thanks to its generous interior space. So if you are a fan of this type of case, I am sure that you will not miss this piece. However, if you are a fan of classic "snap-on" covers, it will take some getting used to due to the need to change your phone usage style a little.
