The former actor from the series Deadwood decided that the company Apple files a lawsuit. Perhaps surprisingly, the lawsuit relates to vaccinations against the disease COVID-19. The aforementioned actor insists that the vaccine was the reason why he lost his job.

Actor Brent Sexton recently filed a lawsuit against the Cupertino company. According to the lawsuit, the company required everyone working on  TV+ production in Los Angeles to get vaccinated against the coronavirus and provide proof of it. The lawsuit states that the company Apple "trampled on the rights" of those who worked to create content for Apple's streaming service. Sexton refused to undergo a vaccination against the coronavirus due to health reasons, as a result of which the company Apple canceled a previous offer to appear in a series for  TV+. According to MSN, Sexton claims it cost him nearly $600.

The actor is filing a disability discrimination lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, seeking an unspecified amount in damages and compensatory damages. As for the role, Sexton auditioned for the role of President Andrew Johnson in the upcoming series Manhunt for  TV+. This series is supposed to tell the story of the American government's search for the assassin of President Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth. An audition took place in February 2022. Sexton was offered the role a week later, which meant a promise of at least seven episodes.

The lawsuit states that Sexton suffers from a platelet deficiency, but the company Apple yet she demanded that he be vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine, despite the risk to his health. Sexton claims he would go for regular tests and have a doctor's note about his health complications. Sexton further states that he and his union were willing to pay for the tests and that the company would Apple was not responsible for any illness he contracted during filming. The lawsuit also states that the series was filmed in Georgia and that the state has banned the mandatory coronavirus vaccination policy in the public domain. The state encouraged private employers to do the same, while providing alternatives to unvaccinated people.
