Czech meteorological application ventusky, available for iOS and Android, has announced a major update that brings new capabilities to visualize meteorological data. In addition to the traditional display on the map and in the table, the application adds newly clear graphs, allowing users to monitor the development of weather, temperature, precipitation, probability of precipitation, wind and snow for up to 14 days ahead. The charts are designed to provide a quick and clear overview of weather developments, especially in situations where the weather changes rapidly. They are also automatically highlighted in charts dangerous values.
The advantage is that you can combine the individual quantities together and thus see together the development of the temperature and, for example, the wind throughout the day. Users can choose between line and bar graphs, providing flexibility in visualizing meteorological phenomena.
The uniqueness of the Ventusky application lies in the fact that it gives users the opportunity to choose their preferred way of displaying data. At the same time, a different type of display is always suitable for different situations. For example, if the user is going to the mountains, then it is more appropriate to monitor the weather in a wider area, and it is better to display the weather on the map, where the development of the weather in the entire mountain area can be seen. On the contrary, users who need a quick and clear view of the development of the weather in a city where the weather is more stable can use the new graphs.
The application has recently brought an option sending notifications (warning, for example, of strong wind or lightning strikes) with detailed settings. It has also undergone slight graphic modifications.
The new charts are freely accessible to all users after downloading the application. No subscription required and no ads. The Ventusky app on Android and iOS is used by more than a million people worldwide every month. Year-on-year, the number of users has more than doubled.
