With state applications, the sack has been torn recently. After the release of eDoklady followed by eTechničák, the state has now launched another swallow for iOS and Android. It is called EZKarta, it is supported by the Ministry of Health and is supposed to replace the physical vaccination card.
The Ministry of Health writes this on the official page of the application: "EZKarta is a new mobile application that aims to bring the resort's digital services closer to citizens. The first essential service it offers is a citizen's vaccination card. The goal is to gradually offer citizens additional services and information related to the health care of each citizen in the EZKarta. "
In the description of the application in the App Store and Google Play it says the following:
- The EZKarta application is extended with the functionality of a digital Vaccination Card
- The vaccination certificate always applies to the person registered at the device and after the mandate has been granted, it is possible to view the vaccination certificate of third parties
- With the help of the EZKarta application, it is possible to share your Vaccination Certificate in PDF or digital form with your doctor
- Due to the security of the new version of the EZKarta application, it is always required to log in via Citizen Identity
That you haven't heard about the plans for the EZKarta application in the previous weeks or months, and its current release is therefore surprising to you? But somewhere! You've probably heard about it and you're just not able to put it all together now - it's a renamed and redesigned Tečka application that was used to store vaccination certificates during the COVID-19 pandemic. The state has been talking quite loudly about its transformation into a vaccination card in the previous months, and now it has happened. But surprisingly, everything happened in complete silence and if I hadn't already installed Tečka on my iPhone and it hadn't requested an update last night on EZKart, I wouldn't have known that something like this had happened.
It will be very interesting to see in which direction the application will develop in the future, i.e. how useful it will actually be. However, the truth in the end is that it does not bring anything that is not already possible. The vaccination certificate can be viewed in an electronic version for quite some time now via the website ocko.uzis.cz, which is logged in through the Citizen Identity. Therefore, the new application cannot be used in the same way as, for example, the recently launched digital ID card, as it is just another way to get the vaccination card from a mobile phone.
Again, it was not without its mistakes. For the COVID vaccination, it shows me that I was vaccinated at one particular hospital - not true, I was at three different health facilities. There is also old COVID test data in the application - they cannot be deleted, even if the option is there - nothing happens. And then the Czech nonsense - instead of vaccination - "left upper arm" - as if there was a lower arm. Either the left arm or the left upper limb is correct
A million apps for a million things. Why can't there be one app that displays everything? So, like other applications, this one will escape my attention and I will wait for the unification (I admit that I will probably wait quite a long time...).
Another app nonsense. The application contains data from January 1.1.2023, 8. So what is it for? I need to know when my 10- and XNUMX-year-old children had their whooping cough vaccinations, so back to the paperwork and calling the doctor... I'll delete it.
Exactly.
The digitization incompetents didn't figure it out again...
Good idea, it turned out as usual...
Since the health insurance companies have all the data on patients, their treatment and vaccinations since the nineties,
so the data is here (about vaccinations, blood group, last prevention, etc., etc., etc.)
so it could be turned into a quite useful application where these data will be available, including reminders (go for a preventive health insurance, go for a health check-up if you have a baby and are a boomer, etc. etc.)
and again nothing...
so they will be unable to brag about what they have achieved and what a success it is...
and the worst part is that I pay for these things from my taxes...
No added value - just a ticked off app that will quietly disappear in 2 years anyway.
I understand that it would be difficult to transfer data from the records of insurance companies or from the paper records of our doctor - but what about being able to write down notes about vaccinations yourself? Perhaps with a note that it is not verified by the state?
So - there is no record of the last tetanus vaccination - and I will wait for it for almost ten years?, a year of vaccination against pertussis or diphtheria - there is no, etc.
