Although it has Apple the planned start of sales of the new M4 Macs until tomorrow morning, the fact is that selected foreign media have already received these machines on loan in advance, so that their reviewers could try them out before the general public gets to them. And since the information embargo on these machines ended this afternoon, here are their first impressions and reviews. How in them iMacs M4 as the first novelty that Apple revealed last week, did they last?

Six Colors' Jason Snell is absolutely thrilled with the nanotexture that can be configured on the display. According to him, it works absolutely unbelievably, and under normal light it is absolutely impossible to notice on the display. However, the light that falls on the display is much better absorbed thanks to its matte surface, and very few unpleasant reflections are created. If you look really closely, you can notice a slightly different light scattering than glossy displays, which leads to a slight decrease in contrast, but it's nothing terrible, and the pros of the nanotexture hardly outweigh the cons.

Matt Elliott from CNET is also enthusiastic about nanotexture, who also confirms that nanotexture is a very effective weapon in the fight against glare and light reflections from the display. But he adds in one breath that it will really only be used by those people who use the iMac against direct sunlight or bright artificial light, and therefore, as a result, it is not strictly a must-have extra item. It is therefore more valuable for a MacBook Pro or iPad. As for the performance of the machine, there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Thanks to the M4 chip, according to the reviewer, it is very nimble and working with it is really pleasant.

David Phelan from Forbes also praises the deployment of Camera Stage, which iMacs have not been abundant in so far. On the one hand, according to him, the quality of the webcam is really great, and on the other hand, the function itself, which is supposed to keep you in the frame during video calls, works very well if you are not sitting in front of the computer, but are moving in front of it. The iMac M4 is therefore perfect for video calls, and compared to previous generations, calling through it is significantly more pleasant. After all, the entire iMac is, according to the reviewer, significantly more pleasant compared to previous generations, thanks to a series of upgrades that, although not essential, are pleasing. We are talking, for example, about 16GB of operating memory in the base, support for the Thunderbolt 4 port for all four rear USB-C in the higher ranges, or USB-C for Magic peripherals.

Bottom line, sum up - although the new iMacs appear to be very little upgraded machines, as a result, they bring a pleasant evolution that is definitely worth it and that manages to impress.
