In 2003 Apple introduced a white wireless keyboard with the product designation A1016. It offered support for the Bluetooth 1.1 standard and visually closely resembled USB keyboards Apple Keyboard. Four years later, an aluminum variant for three pencil batteries came, as part of the 2009 update, the number of AA batteries needed was reduced.
