OS X Yosemite

The operating system OS X Yosemite (version 10.10) was announced - traditionally at Apple's developer conference WWDC - in mid-2014 and released to the public in October of the same year. It brought, among other things, a completely redesigned user interface that now uses a flat design, a light and dark color scheme, new icons and the Helvetica Neue system font (instead of the previous Lucida Grande), continued integration with other Apple platforms such as iOS and iCloud, the Handoff feature, which allows the system to integrate via Bluetooth LE and Wi-Fi with iOS 8 devices, improvements to the notification center in the form of a new "Today" view, inspired by the view in iOS, which allows you to display information and updates from various sources, as well as widgets, an improved function Spotlight, which now displays a search box in the middle of the screen and includes results from online sources such as Bing, Wikipedia or Apple Maps, or new security functions in the Safari browser (e.g. the ability to delete history, cookies and other data for the previous hour, day or two days, the ability to remotely close bookmarks from an iOS device or the addition of the DuckDuckGo search engine, which does not store user data). Support for the system ended in August 2017.
