Glonass
GLONASS (ГЛОНАСС) is short for "Global Navigation Satellite System" (Глобальная навигационная сположения система) and is a Russian satellite positioning system. Similar to the American GPS (Global Positioning System), GLONASS allows you to determine the exact position in real time anywhere on Earth using signals from satellites. GLONASS is composed of a network of 24 active satellites that orbit the Earth and transmit signals to devices such as mobile phones, navigation devices and more. GLONASS is mainly used in Russia and has an advantage over GPS in its territory because the GLONASS signal is stronger and more reliable there.
