Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s action thriller film Kill released in theatres yesterday and has already raked in over 1.35 crore rupees on its first day; a strong start for a genre film starring a fresh face. Long before its release, the film and its lead star Lakshya were already picking up stupendous praise from critics and audiences alike. One of the bloodiest films to ever come out of Bollywood, Lakshya’s first step into the film industry has been a wild one.

“Sometimes, the best thing you can say about an actor is that they can really act. There’s a particular scene towards the end of the film where Lakshya’s character undergoes a volley of emotions in a matter of seconds. That’s when you realize why the last time Karan Johar felt this strongly about a debutant was when he launched Alia Bhatt in Student of the Year,” we had noted in our review of the movie.
