One simple way to prevent this from happening is ensuring the developers understand the requirements and develop accord to that and then making sure they do the necessary unit testing prior to even handing over to the QA team. Blaming QA testers for identifying bugs amd defects is like blaming a police officer for catching you driving without a seat belt. QA is not meant to signoff on something that is not working as required.

To resolve conflicts between developers and testers, it’s important to focus on teamwork and clear communication. We should bring both sides together to talk openly and understand each other’s challenges. Planning realistic timelines, involving testers early in the process, and improving tools like automated testing can help avoid delays. Leadership should step in to guide discussions without blaming anyone and encourage learning from past mistakes. By building trust and working together, we can make sure everyone is aligned and working towards the same goal: delivering a great product on time.

What a ridiculous argument. I’m devops and It’s always devs trying to get away with poor quality. QA is almost never to blame developers always just blame qa and operations for their poor performance. You solve it by making them actually earn their over priced paychecks. Goes more for the managers but both are equal.

Establish success criteria early .. QA needs to be involved at the design stage with inputs to "how do we test and know we built the right thing and it works"
