I have found that adopting David Maister's Trust Equation formula has favoured me greatly when it comes to building trust. Trustworthiness = Credibility + Reliability + Intimacy subtracted by Self Orientation I have found 'intimacy' and 'self orientation' more challenging for leaders to establish in teams. While Intimacy supports fostering Psychological safety where one can open up to each other without worrying about any unfavourable consequences...Self-orientation as the mindset to put others before self does not come naturally to most. As a coaching leader, one must closely partner with the team members to support Trust Equation as a core DNA of the team values and functioning!

There is nothing more important than trust. If all of members have trust with each other, then they could work more easily and efficiently. The only thing that everyone focus on will be hard-working and team-working, not that kinds of office politics.

I firmly believe that trust can be built intentionally and quickly, and it can be rebuilt even after a conflict or setback. You can build trust through: Credibility: Follow through on your promises, keep your word, and show up consistently. Context: Be curious about people's backgrounds and current situations. Listen to their stories and understand their concerns. Share your own context, such as having a bad day or not sleeping well. Communication: Be transparent, honest, and authentic in your interactions.

At the same time, setting goals are also important to the company. If even the boss don`t know how to do or what to do, that will be disastrous.

For me, even in a Asian culture big company, I still do my best to make everything clear with my team. I will totally make everyone know the next step at the same time. In my opinions, everyone focusing on same page will make things go easier.

I need to say that we really do not encourage someone become "special" in Asia culture. I really want to change that but I couldn`t.

Encourage diverse communication which includes HEALTHY conflict. Open ended questions vs. reactive disagreement is one way to do this. Explore diverse thoughts and opinions by asking questions when there is disagreement vs. reacting to the disagreement. For example, saying, "I hadn't thought of it that way, can you tell me what led you to that opinion/conclusion?" People will feel heard vs shut down and it encourages continued dialogue. Continued dialogue often will lead to solutions that would not have been discovered had the conversation shut down.

Once you have mastered the art of managing heuristic workers through autonomy, mastery, and purpose I have found new employees go through a mental cycle that looks like excitement, fear of having to make the decisions, then a period of 6-12 months of high engagement and productivity, followed by a decrease in interest. The choice here is to encourage them to volunteer to help other teams, which will help build a sense of community in the org, expand or shift their domain to keep them engaged locally, or work with them to find a new opportunity which will advance their career. The reputation gains for this management style are impressive and you will find soon find it easy to recruit and keep a steady stream of highly engaged employees.

Just like I mentioned to my members. Not everyone will do the 100% of her time into their jobs, and you need to accept that. I only let you know the greatness part that if you focus on your skill-building, you will have more opportunities and flexibility of your life. I have to make them believe from the bottom of their hearts that this is right, otherwise it will be useless.

Create opportunities for team members to collaborate and engage with each other. This could involve team-building activities, cross-functional projects, or regular brainstorming sessions. Engaged employees are more productive and committed to their work.

As a leader in the organization, you are seen as a parental figure. People will observe your actions and listen to your words, often emulating your behavior. Strive to be the leader you aspire to be and the leader you want others in your organization to become. Moreover, remember that everyone is a leader and has moments to step up. Leading my example can begin with small acts like picking up trash when no one is looking and extends to praising others in public.

Try to live up to the standards that you set. Once you do that, try to do/be even better. When your team sees how much you care about teamwork, collaboration, etc., they will likely begin to view you as a valued and respectable leader: plain and simple. Just keep your moral compass in check. For starters, keep respect, empathy, and honesty in the forefront of your mind.

Once you demonstrate collaboration with your peers, it sends a strong message to your team that this is the desired behaviour. A soloist leader who doesn’t cooperate in harmony with his colleagues, most likely that his team will adopt non-collaborative approach within and without.

Walk the talk. If you expect to foster teamwork and collaboration, you have to model this in your interactions and work. You cement your expectations for your team when they see you and experiences you doing what you expect from them. Be sure to give feedback when you see them fostering team work and collaboration. When they are not meeting expectations, give them the scenario and ask them how they could have handled the situation differently to be more collaborative and supportive. Coaching them through the situation creates a more valuable and sustainable change than just telling them what to do.

As a leader, your actions speak louder than words. Demonstrate the behaviors and attitudes you want to see in your team. Show dedication, integrity, and a willingness to learn and grow.

Essas plataformas aumentam a produtividade e a agilidade na resolução de problemas, permitindo que a equipe trabalhe de forma coesa, em sinergia e de forma engajada.

Encourage cross-functional collaboration in projects and initiatives to break down silo mentality. Promote knowledge sharing with other business units through workshops and internal wikis. Arrange networking events to facilitate interactions and mingling among colleagues from different functions.

Coach! Definite outcomes rather than objectives. Give your team time space resources and challenge. Allow them to shine. If they don't, start with yourself first..
