1. Look outside of the Industrial Design field. 2. Travel far and wide. 3. Break your normal routine. 4. Seek new experiences. 5. Keep a calm mind.

Constant upskill: Constantly learn about new materials, technologies, tools and theories. Challenge assumptions, perspectives: Don't settle for the obvious or first set of solution, explore unconventional approaches, critique a lot. Embrace constraints: build around limitations (budget, materials, tech) to ignite creative intelligence. Lateral inspiration: Look beyond industrial design for inspiration.. in arts, math, science, nature, or even history.

Have an open mind. By observing and taking in as much as we can from the real world, we become better at distilling our ideas into useful concepts. Also, have a bit of fun! Taking ourselves too seriously will render our ideas sterile and less approachable. Behind every object is a person, and when you can connect to the object and the person, it is so much more meaningful; your personality is incredibly important.

Keep an open mind. I've solved issues by looking to brilliant designers before me and also from looking in the kitchen junk drawer. Enjoy it while you are doing it!

Inspirarse en lo básico es un viaje de vuelta a nuestras raíces, a la esencia de la creatividad. Es un recordatorio de que la tecnología es una herramienta poderosa, pero nuestra capacidad de crear proviene de nuestra humanidad, de nuestras manos, nuestros sentidos y nuestras experiencias.

The inspiration could be at night or in the morning, during a discussion with random people. It's everywhere ! I think it's important to always have on you a piece of paper or some notes to keep each little things, to draw each little detail or keep emotions which call you everytime. Because everyone have some amazing ideas, but people who arrived to create in a final way are these one who catch the moment, the details.

Es geht eigentlich nur um eines : die Relevanz eines Problems das es zu lösen gilt. Da bin ich nur ein Teil davon. Aber einer der die Richtung mit vorgeben kann. Markterfolg ist das eine, aber limitierte Resourcen auf unserem Planeten das andere. Eine gewisse Wissenschaftlichkeit bei der Konzeption halte ich für durchaus angebracht. Ich muß die Stakeholder verstehen lernen, das Design geschieht für mich dann beinahe zwangsläufig. Kreativität ist die Fähigkeit der Vernetzung alles Bekannten und die Entdeckung des noch Unbekannten. Hab ich nur ein 17er Schlüssel und einen Hammer im Werkzeugkasten sind meine Möglichkeiten eben arg beschränkt.

Collaborations are amazing, creativly, it's one of the most impactful and stimulated experience you can do with someone for me. Alone you cannot have the same speed and creativity than two brains in actions ! You learn of eachothers when you learn something to someone else, exchanges of ideas, the biggest concepts and ideas of humans are often based on brainstormings or projects with collaborations

Respecto al fracaso forma parte del camino, es una simple piedra que se aparta para seguir avanzando. Por el camino se quedan las múltiples pruebas y opciones que se han testeado, aprobado, desestimado, cambiado, comentado, el propio fracaso, que juntos pasan a llenar un poco más la mochila del conocimiento con un valor muy superior que el que resta el propio fracaso.

And now with A.I and other softwares like Vizcom, you can start with an ideas based on your sketchs, and create some beautiful renders and learn to keep new ideas !

Esboço é inicio de tudo, com ele surge inúmeras ideias e consequente diversos projetos. Rabisque muito, tira a ideia de que esboço tem que sair perfeito, não esboço não é perfeito. Esboço são ideias que iram gerar a perfeição no projeto.

I remember how the fear of failure felt early on in my Industrial Design career. It keeps you at the starting line, and without moving forward, you'll never get the healthy doses of iteration and feedback that designer's grow and thrive on. As I've grown older and had more diverse clients, projects, and entrepreneurial experiences, I've come to embrace and appreciate failure. In many cases, I've even welcomed it as soon as possible - if it's going to come at all. When it comes to feedback, often times the clarity of a "no" is infinitely more valuable than a "maybe", even if it represents a (temporary) failure. When I mentor students and young Industrial Designers, I like to remind them that perfect is often times the enemy of really good.

After a week of working 8 hours, on the weekend I focus on growing my Youtube chanel, so it's 6-7 hours Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday, It was the first time for 1-2 years that I went for a walk with my mom, for only 30 minutes. At the beginning I didn't want to, because I did not want to loose any time. That little 30 minutes walk was the best decision on months.

Early on in my Industrial Design career I struggled to find a healthy work-life balance. I didn't attend a top I.D. school with access to internships, etc. and I knew how strong my competition was. We all know how hard that first job is to land, and how it can potentially define your career trajectory. Honestly, I loved the work, was hungry to learn, and was self-motivated, so I worked what felt like 24/7! Here's the problem: I got burned out repeatedly, my personal relationships suffered, and I was ignoring my health. I know this story sounds familiar. It takes a certain tenacity and a serious work ethic to succeed as an Industrial Designer. I now know it also takes rest, balance, and getting outside the comfort zone of "work".

Question Purpose, Function, and Design 🎯Purpose: • Why is this product necessary? • Why do users prefer it? ⚙️Function: • Why is it designed this way? • Why does it function this way? 🎨Design: • Why is it that big or small? • Why is it hard to clean? • Can it be manufactured more cost-effectively?

Algo muy importante y de lo que pocas veces se habla es de la importancia de entender a quien te contrata, cuál es su expectativa sobre el proyecto, qué espera de ti, y cómo puedes tú superar sus expectativas. Hay que decidir cuánto de cada cosa ponemos en nuestra coctelera: creatividad, funcionalidad, costes, solución de problemas existentes, nuevas funciones o mejoras, y si las ponemos, querrán pagar por ellas si tienen un coste extra?, etc. En definitiva, resistir la tentación de ofrecer "lo mejor de lo mejor" sino centrarnos la mejor opción, la más equilibrada para las necesidades de cada proyecto. Sabremos que lo hemos hecho bien cuando nos digan: has captado perfectamente lo que necesitábamos :)
