The define stage involves synthesizing and analyzing research data to identify the main problem or opportunity to address with your design. Use methods such as problem statements, how might we questions, and point of view statements. During the ideate stage, generate a plethora of ideas to solve your challenge. Utilize brainstorming, mind mapping, sketching, and storyboarding. The prototype stage involves creating low-fidelity or high-fidelity models of your ideas to test their feasibility and viability. Make use of paper prototypes, mock-ups, 3D models, or digital tools. Lastly, the test stage involves validating your prototypes with real users and collecting feedback to improve your designs. Utilize user testing, surveys, interviews, or observation.
