Follow standard Incident Command Structure and Incident Management protocols. Make sure you create accountability so that resources, including trained personnel can be tracked and properly allocated during incident response. Make sure that you have implemented, and that staff understand procedures for changes in command when rotating in and out new shifts and that resource tracking stays consistent throughout different shifts. Establish clear direct communication with partner agencies and stakeholders and make sure they are properly integrated into the Incident Command structure as appropriate. Continuously monitor your incident command structure and make changes to scale up and down resources as dictated by SOP and operational necessity.
