In my experience, training content is best developed through a partnership between subject matter experts, key stakeholders and the Learning and Development team. Bringing together the people who are currently doing the job, those who have the most to gain (business leaders, end users, etc.) and L&D into the same room can assist in developing a final product that is relevant, engaging and impactful. Collaboration and thoughtful feedback from within and outside our normal circles allows for growth and the development of innovative training solutions. The days of those who can do and those who cannot teach are likely gone for good.
