How can you design a qualitative research study for R&D that includes a diverse population?

If we want a diverse population then collect a diverse population? All that's required is to determine diversity in which characteristic relative to the aims of the study prior to starting. Would we study human height variation in a diverse population of potted plants?

The research question for our qualitative R&D study is: "How do diverse user groups, spanning various demographics and backgrounds, interact with and derive value from our innovative product?" This question emphasizes inclusivity by acknowledging the diversity within our user base. We aim to explore nuanced experiences, needs, and preferences across demographics, ensuring a comprehensive understanding. By avoiding assumptions or stereotypes, our research will provide valuable insights into how different individuals, with distinct cultural, socioeconomic, and personal characteristics, engage with and benefit from our R&D-driven product.
