I would encourage recent graduates in digital marketing - which I think is lacking in majority of digital marketers - across the regions , is to focus on core marketing fundamentals and principles of marketing . Most of digital marketers just focus on digital marketing channels and channel optimization and miss the overall picture . Digital marketing is relatively newer channel of ‘Marketing’ and gives you ability to be more precise in marketing by increasing ability to target better , know about your customer more and track ROI more efficiently but it’s still following traditional marketing principles . So I would suggest always look for mentors who can help strengthen this core and basics and then look for expertise in a channel
