i have tried most them all none of them meets all your needs. i started out with Acad 2000 as you gain confidence in construction drawings, one moves up having a go at 3d. AutoCAD fantastic for detailing yet lacks the Architectural expression. Acad Architecture has detailing yet fiddly visual expression, levels constructs elements sheets confusing. Revit has something missing, easer to use than Architecture for 3D yet in my view lack detailing some may disagree! ArchiCAD had a go i failed, to many bells and buttons. If you look at other industries they are so ahead. Tekla structural, one stop BIM. 2d, 3d detailing rendering modelling quantities. Tekla structural describes BIM. The software thats being offered to Architects needs a new voice
