In my experience, adopting agile frameworks should not be the end of the process. Teams should challenge frameworks, whether they are compliant to the project, team and other aspects of development. Implementing strict frameworks is also not a good idea from my experience. Agile as a whole should be about adopting parts of tools given and finding the best combination and parts of it for work.
