In my experience, a capacity planning tool that can assist me with the capacity planning process is Microsoft Project Online, which is a cloud-based solution that helps users manage and collaborate on projects and tasks. Microsoft Project Online has a feature called Capacity Planning, which lets users see how many hours a resource can work versus how many hours they are required on projects. Microsoft Project Online also has a feature called Capacity and Engagements Heatmap, which displays the resource’s engaged time and overall capacity in a color-coded view. I was able to optimize my resource allocation and utilization using Microsoft Project Online.
