In 1995 I started working for an environmental technology company, who was offering biowaste to energy solutions based on mesophilic biogas technology. The most popular technology for biowaste treatment was composting, because the initial investment costs of a composting plant were lower compared to a biogas plant. The target audience was municipalities, whose decision makers were local politicians. Better, cheaper, & faster is impossible according to the Project Management Triangle. Better and cheaper means slower; cheaper and faster means worse; and faster and better means more expensive. So what is the outcome or value of your renewable energy products and services? If your prospects are underserved, you should offer them better solutions or faster delivery for more money. If your prospects are overserved, you should offer them worse solutions or slower delivery for less money. If you can offer better and cheaper solutions, you're a winner. (Customers can probably accept slower delivery, if they know they will get a better solution for less money). If your prospects have no choice, you can offer worse solutions for more money.
