Visual aids have been in tandem with Public Speaking forever. The art of successful story telling has been part of the fiber of societies when oral narratives were the modus operandi. The narrator had to have the ability to create a mental construct for the listener to imagine , conjure and relate to the information being passed down. Even the pictorial stories etched on the walls of ancient civilizations are evidence enough for the impact of visuals. Take it a step further, any successful writer , author or Public speaker mainly strives for the same wavelength with the audience . Where the listeners can relate and imagine what the speaker is conveying.
