Old but Gold Advice. But in a way, try to ask your clients their internal market research. Save you heaps of time. I used to be afraid to ask them but your clients know their target audience better than you and they already have their dream customer they want to replicate. Your job is to meet this in your writing

I have a very long process but sometimes I have to adjust to my clients' timelines. This assures you have your standards to meet 'quality' works within their desired timelines

One of the BEST ways to show your portfolio is to show them it working. Not just: → Client A achieved X → Client B achieved Y → Client C achieved Z (Although these are great) Use your writing skills to bring the prospective client in. Then, when you're talking to them, show them it working. Show them that they followed your process. How each step made a difference for them. And how each step brought them closer. They'll realise how powerful it is. And see it works for them.

I completely agree with Luke. Also adding the importance of personalized content in your portfolio. With freelance works, it's hard to have a good flow of what projects you should show. One client from one industry might not fit the others - so arrange the order of your projects to let your prospect see what they want to see!

I would recommend choosing testimonials from the same industry as the client or interviewer when job searching. Personally, I find testimonials most impactful when they describe two aspects: the soft skills and passion for what you do, as well as the results achieved with your UX writing skills.
