Bonding of non current carrying parts of any system to ground or earth creates an equipotential surface, meaning there is no potential difference or voltage between the part of system and earth. So there is no risk of shock or electrocution.

While grounding takes care of excess current from current carrying parts of system, bonding takes care of potential difference between part or equipment and ground.

Know the difference between a solidly grounded system, a delta corner grounded system, ungrounded and high resistance grounded system. That will determine neutral terminations. Just bonding all metal enclosures and connecting them to a designated ground rod is not enough. Know your ground grid, is it an Ufer, a grounding ring? Do you have to add more conductors to bring down resistance?
