I find two strategies useful here: - 'So-what?': For every claim or piece of information, I ask "How does this contribute to my overall argument or the knowledge of the reader?" If a section doesn't pass this test, I might need to rework it or remove it altogether. - Transition and Flow: For every section, I examine its links to other sections and ensure the coherent progression of ideas. Given any leadership test, I always peg collaborator. So when possible, I prefer to use a review team. Recently, I was asked to write a document targeting three (3) discrete stakeholder groups.
